For Sale Grady-White 282 Sailfish

I currently am selling a 2001 28ft Grady-White (cuddy) which is in storage at Venice, La. It has two 200hp hpdi Yamaha engines with less than 600hrs. The engines are winterized currently and is located at the end of the line storage facility. It was last used in early February and everything works perfectly and we caught 6 big wahoo and five black fin. I have a Frigid-Rigid fiberglass cooler that will go with the boat (paid $1200). It has 3D Furuno NavNet(put on in 2011), two great radios, autopilot and fishes great. In april of last year I put a new Icom VHF, stereo with speakers and satellite radio. There is fishing gear and trailer has been overhauled. I paid 44K for the vessel 3/2011 before the additional electronics and gear. I will consider any reasonable bid. If I don't sell it within 30 days then it goes to the brokerage house, so save yourself some money. You cannot beat the location for fishing. I currently reside in North Carolina but I can have someone there who is a charter captain in Venice show you the boat. He fished with us in February and can tell you about the boat. I will have to hunt around for pics but it would be better for you to see it in person. Let Your Voice Be Heard!

The current federal fisheries law – the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA) – is broken and in need of immediate repair. Arbitrary and non-scientific provisions coupled with unrealistically rigid restrictions are keeping all fishermen off the water.

Through strict enforcement of the provisions contained within MSA, and the rapidly expanding denial of public access to rebuilt and rebuilding fisheries, it has become extremely clear to the majority of anglers, fishing organizations and the fishing industry that the federal fisheries law must be fixed.

The good news is that conservation, access and rebuilding can all be achieved with minor changes to the current law.

What can you do?

Only by amending the Magnuson Stevens Act can both our fisheries and our fishing communities and businesses rebuild and thrive. Sustainability of both the fish AND the fishermen should be our goal
