Been a while since the last post on here. All is well and the fish are out there and DUMB. I got to run out the canyon 2 weeks ago and got a good girl, in the 350lb range. She put on one hell of a good show, but my leadering gloves made the picture taking a little...Challenging.

The yellowfin were more than happy to offeer themselves to join the traveling team back to Metairie and Mississippi. The key was live bait. We picked up a well-full off some grass. The chum parade pecked away at a few mixed blacks and yellows. I'll stick with the hardtails.

Damn. I forgot how good blue water makes me feel. Not to mention reels SCREAMING!!! Got the itch bad.............

Can't wait for the waters to open a little closer. It shouldn't be too long.

There are tarpon all over Southern Louisiana and you can fish as long as you are not more than 3 miles out. That is NO PROBLEM with tarpon. Guides you should think about that too. Especially if you have a steady client base.

I am getting spanked on marlin. I had a white on during Poco that literally would not break a rubberband.....It jumped like 8 times and the rubberband just kept stretching. It was mucho aggravating. Had a blue on for about an hour and he shook loose. Caught 15 or 20 big dolphin, 1 yellowfin, and 5 or 6 wahoo.
